H&M has been facing tons of backlash after having a black child model pose in a hoodie with the words "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle" across the front. The sweatshirt sparked outrage on the internet with many people calling for a boycott of the brand. The Weeknd, who has released two collections with H&M, announced that he is ending his partnership with the fashion retailer in a tweet saying, "Woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo. I'm deeply offended and will not be working with @hm anymore..." Countless fans praised the Canadian singer for taking a stand on the now viral sweatshirt.

A spokesperson for H&M Canada has since apologized in a statement to HuffPost Canada saying, "We completely understand and agree with [The Weeknd's] reaction to the image. We are deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print. We have removed the image from all our channels and the sweater is no longer for sale in our stores. We will also look into our internal routines to avoid such situations in the future." They went on to say that H&M "will continue the discussion with The Weeknd and his team separately." LeBron James also posted a powerful message on Instagram clapping back at H&M. Read on to have a look at the Weeknd's tweet and reactions from his fans.
